The maps illustrate how an island has changed before and after developments for tourism facilitation.
Overall, the island of around 250 meters length has undergone great modifications with the building of a large amount of accommodation and other tourism facilities to serve travellers.
The first noticeable change would be in the island centre. What was originally deserted is now constructed the reception and the restaurant. Also, there is now the newly-built pier for yacht landing by the sea, together with new vehicle track providing direct access from the pier to the reception and the restaurant.
Another main transformation is the great number of housing built in the eastern and western sides of the reception, in which each unit conjoins to each other through a system of the footpath. It also can be seen that swimming activity is now available at the beach located in the western edge of the island, as opposed to the area north-east of the island remaining unused. Interestingly, few palm trees have been chopped down to give way for this development.
