The maps illustrate the changes in terms of road access to a city hospital in two different years, 2007 and 2010.
Overall, the surrounding area of the hospital underwent significant modifications with the extension of car parking sites and the construction of public transport facilities.
Looking at the car parking area, there was separation into two distinct sites for hospital employees and visitors. The original communal car parking zone east of the hospital road had been modified to allow staff car park only by 2010. Meanwhile, the location for visitors to park their car was relocated to the east of the ring road. Both of the new car parking areas had a gate for each to access the ring road directly.
The main road leading to the hospital also experienced noticeable transformations at which the two lines of bus stops along the road were removed to give way for a bigger bus station to the western side of the road. Moreover, the construction of two roundabouts took place at both ends of the hospital street, at which there were links to connect to the newly- built bus station.
